Palau-Castell de Betxí
Declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1997, it is considered one of the finest examples of the noble architecture of the Valencian Renaissance. The master builder Joan d'Ambuesa built a cloister of arches and Ionic columns; the complex also preserves the 15th-century Gothic palace and Pascual Meneu's 19th-century house.
The Palau-Castell de Betxí was declared a Site of Cultural Interest, in the monument category, on 3 March 1997, and is considered one of the finest examples of the noble architecture of the Valencian Renaissance. Its construction is notable for the cloister of arches and Ionic columns built by the master Joan d'Ambuesa. The complex also preserves the 15th-century Gothic palace and Pascual Meneu's 19th-century house, so that several building phases come together in one place. That succession of stages makes it possible to see how a noble residence was transformed over the centuries.
