Pico del Noño

Pico del Noño is the summit of Sierra Martes above Yátova, at 1060 m of altitude. The upper slope, between 915 and 1060 m, is protected as a 17.70 ha flora microreserve, declared in DOGV 3928 of 30 January 2001 inside a public utility forest of the town council. From the top long views open towards the coast and the inland ranges. You arrive by car from València in just under an hour, and a typical visit lasts about 3 hours. In the same area you can round off the day at the Cueva Turche in Buñol.
The microreserve
The designation protects the vegetation of the upper sierra, with scrub and woodland suited to rock and wind. There is no verified signed route of its own to the summit: access runs along forest tracks, so carry a track and mountain shoes. Respect the public-forest signs and keep to the tracks.
Visit notices
There is no verified signed parking at the start of the tracks, so leave the car without blocking accesses or paths. Avoid the midday hours of summer because of the heat and carry more water than you think you need: there are no springs on the upper part. Fog can close the views quickly, so check the forecast before climbing.
