Torre del Marqués
Also called the tower of Doña Blanca, it stands two kilometres from Torreblanca towards the coast. It forms part of the watchtower system of the Castellón coastline, preserves the place name linked to the lords of the town, and gives its name to an area of marshland and beach.
The Torre del Marqués, also called the tower of Doña Blanca, stands two kilometres from Torreblanca towards the coast. It forms part of the watchtower system of the Castellón coastline, a group of constructions intended for observation of the coast. It preserves the place name linked to the lords of the town and gives its name to an area of marshland and beach. Its position near the coast explains its function within that defensive system. The tower is today a reference point in the landscape of the municipality and a testimony to the organisation of the territory in historical times.
