How do I get to Burjassot from València?
The simplest option is Metrovalencia Line 1, which stops at Burjassot and Burjassot-Godella. Metropolitan buses run there too, and by car you take the CV-35 (Ademuz road).
How long does it take from València?
About 15-20 minutes by metro from the centre, with frequent trains. By car it's 10-15 minutes on the CV-35, a bit more at rush hour.
What is there to see in Burjassot?
The Patio de los Silos (Les Sitges) is a set of old underground grain stores beneath a terrace, first dug out in the 16th century. Next to it stands El Castell (Colegio Mayor San Juan de Ribera), with views over the huerta. Add Parc de la Granja, the Sant Roc hermitage and the Sant Miquel Arcàngel church to round it off.
Is it worth visiting with kids?
Yes. It's a short, cheap trip: Parc de la Granja and Parc de l'Eixereta have green areas and playgrounds, and the old centre is easy to walk around.
