Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol
The parish church was built in the second third of the 18th century in the neoclassical style promoted by the Real Academia de San Carlos. Only the portico with Corinthian pilasters survives from the original façade. The interior, with its three naves, was restored in the 1990s after the damage it sustained during the Guerra Civil.
The Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol has presided over the Plaza del Pueblo de Buñol since the 18th century: it was built during the second third of that century, during the reign of Carlos III, in the neoclassical style that was promoted at the time by the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos. It is catalogued as a Bien de Relevancia Local.
From the original façade only the portal remains, flanked by Corinthian pilasters on the base. Inside, the church opens into three naves, with the central one covered by a barrel vault, and repeats the Corinthian order in the columns that separate the side chapels. The altar was destroyed during the Civil War; the current interior appearance is the result of a restoration in the 1990s.
