Castell d'Alèdua
Castle of Aledua, an example of Muslim defensive architecture from the taifa period, visible from the whole of the Marquesado. Only the main tower and part of the defensive wall survive; its typology is similar to the towers of Benifaió and to the Torre Espioca in Picassent.
The castle of Aledua is a Muslim defensive construction of the taifa period and can be seen from the whole of the Marquesado. Only the main tower and part of the defensive wall survive, so the present complex is a remnant of what the fortress once was. Its typology is similar to the Torre de la Plaza and the Torre Mussa in Benifaió and to the Torre Espioca, which links it to other towers of the same defensive system. That similarity helps to understand how surveillance of the territory was organised in the district.
