The church dates from the sixteenth century and its hexagonal ashlar tower was finished in 1604. In the chapel of the Communion it keeps wall paintings by Miguel Vaquerer from 1965. It was a vicarage from 1530 and an independent parish from 1902, two dates that mark its institutional evolution. The temple therefore brings together elements from different periods: the sixteenth-century fabric, the tower from the beginning of the seventeenth and the twentieth-century wall painting, as well as a parish history that extends over centuries and explains its role in the town.
