How do I get to Canet d'en Berenguer from València?
The Metrobús coach is the most direct option: lines L116 and L111 run from València to Sagunt and the Canet beach area. There's no train stop in town, so the Cercanías C6 leaves you in Sagunto and you continue from there by local bus or taxi. By car, take the V-21 and the N-340.
How long does it take from València?
By car, around 30 minutes for roughly 30 km. By bus, allow a bit more, it depends on the stops and the line. By train, add the transfer time from Sagunto to Canet.
What is there to see in Canet d'en Berenguer?
The seaside lighthouse, the church of Sant Pere Apòstol and the Palau dels Comtes de l'Alcúdia are the main sights. The Ethnological Museum (MECBE) and the surviving stretch of medieval wall are worth a look too. The beach, with golden sand and a Blue Flag, is the main draw.
Is it a good day trip with kids?
Yes. The beach is wide, calm and rarely crowded, with decent facilities, so it works well for families. Sagunto and its Roman theatre are close by too, so you can pair beach time with a bit of history.
