What to see in Xeraco
Xeraco is a quiet town in the Safor county, about 60 km south of València. It has two sides: the farming village at the foot of the Mondúver range, and a fine-sand beach more than three kilometres long that's been awarded the Blue Flag several times. It suits travelers who want the sea without the crowds and nature close at hand.
Its most curious monument is the Torre de Guaita, a 16th-century watchtower built to warn of raids by the Barbary pirates who ravaged this coast. The heritage is rounded off by the 18th-century church of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación and La Cisterna, a vaulted 19th-century water tank. For nature, the highlight is the Marjal de la Safor, a protected wetland full of birds and channels, good for walking or cycling, plus hiking trails that climb toward the mountain springs.
From València it's an easy trip on the Cercanías (line C1), around three quarters of an hour, or roughly 45 minutes by car via the AP-7/V-31. Note that the station is in the town and the beach is about 4 km away.

How do you get to Xeraco from València?
The easiest option is the Cercanías train, line C-1 (València Nord to Gandia), which stops in Xeraco. By car, take the A-7 or the N-332 south for about 63 km.
How long does it take from València to Xeraco?
By train it's around an hour, with a train every half hour on weekdays. By car it's roughly 50 minutes if traffic is light.
