In the heart of Carcaixent, citrus country in the Ribera Alta district, this restaurant occupies the Ribera family's 1908 bourgeois palace, its Modernista façade giving way inside to Jacobean woodwork and Valencian Baroque marble, plasterwork and tiles. Market-driven Mediterranean cooking built on produce from the surrounding orchards, served under high ceilings in grand, history-laden rooms: a meal with the building's past in every corner.
