A little history
The name is not decoration. In 1274 the barony of Chulilla passed to the bishop and chapter of Valencia, and from this part of town the life of a place of Moorish origin was run, as the tangle of narrow, steep streets climbing towards the castle still shows.

It is the logical place to begin a visit: the climb to the castle and the walks through the old town set off from here. If you come by car, leave it on the edge of the village and walk down, because the central streets barely have room to pass. It fits well into a route of pretty villages near València.
