Just off Plaza de Santa Catalina in the old town, this family-run turrón shop has been hand-making Jijona-style nougat since 1890, when Juan Ramos Mira founded it. The fourth generation has run it since 1986, still weighing out guirlache, marzipan and toasted-yolk turrón behind the same modest counter. A no-frills classic where the staff still walk you through every variety before you buy.
