Mirador de la Carrucha
A natural balcony leaning over the Turia canyon, directly above the Charco Azul, looking down on the river boxed between the cliffs. It sits at the start of the pantaneros trail, beside the Compuertas viewpoint, so it is the first great panorama of the gorge before the descent towards the hanging bridges.
The Mirador de la Carrucha is the first great balcony on the canyon walk in Chulilla: leaning over the drop, it leaves the Turia far below, boxed between limestone walls.
The view
From here you look straight down on the Charco Azul and the line of the gorge. It sits beside the Compuertas viewpoint at the start of the pantaneros trail, so it is the panorama almost everyone meets first before dropping towards the hanging bridges.
It takes little effort to reach from the village and the view pays off in full, a good stop on any day trip from València. Look over carefully: there is no railing along the whole edge and the fall is tens of metres.
