Casa Roberto
The benchmark for rice right in central València, with forty years of craft and awards for best Valencian paella and best all i pebre. Everything is made with fresh produce and no shortcuts: Valencian paella, arroz del senyoret and oven-baked rice done by the book.
💡 Local tip: Small and in high demand: always reserve, and save room for the eel all i pebre.
Casa Roberto was opened by Roberto Aparicio and his wife Mari Carmen in 1986 and is now run by their children, Roberto and María del Mar. Forty years later, it's still one of the go-to places for rice in central Valencia, well off the tourist trail.
It's won several awards for best Valencian paella and best all i pebre de anguila, and it shows. Everything uses the day's fresh produce, with no shortcuts or pre-cooked rice. Regulars order the Valencian paella, arroz del senyoret and arroz al horno.
It's small and in high demand, so book well ahead, especially at weekends.
